ANNA - JUNE 2006 |
|||||||||
| When my sister Elodie went from fifth grade to sixth grade, that was a big event, because that meant she made the step from primary to secondary school. In the Netherlands, the big event only takes place one year later, but in the international environment, all is different. My parents were actually thinking of leaving me at home with the nanny, for this event, but knowing how much I love parties, they decided to take me with them after all. Well, they will remember that for a long time. I danced and sang; when Elodie stood on the podium with her class mates, I tried to climb the podium as well. I stood on top of and crawled under the chairs. What a great event, a graduation! | |||||||||

![]() In July, we went on a holiday to Europe. First to London, where my father participated in the London 100 years of car parade. Even though I love his old Bristol and I can recognize it from any other old car, in the end I became so tired from looking at the cars, that I just fell asleep inside it. Luckily I woke up in time for the grand tour to start. I felt like the queen! Alongside the road were huge masses of people and they were all waving at me. So I stood at the bench and waved back at them, which was not very dangerous, because we drove at a pace of 5 kilometers per hour. After that we did a few days of sightseeing in London, which I also thoroughly enjoyed, but for the scary dinosaur in the Museum for Natural History. The London Zoo was also impressive, click on the cage picture to see the full scale me and Victor as most destructive animal. My mother found this the most ideal solution, too bad there is only two of us there. After London we went to the Netherlands, where we did mostly fun things, like go to amusement parks, play midget golf, catch fish, go to see the sheep's herd, walk in the woods. The weather was really nice most of the time and I could play outside a lot. |

| What I liked most about the Netherlands was riding a bike; not by myself, that is, but sitting on the seat behind mama's back. There is so much to see! So many "horseys", sheep, dogs, towers and other interesting things. And quite often you also encounter an ice-cream. | |||||||||
