Mix the butter with the sugar for 5 minutes, add the
egg and mix three minutes more. Add baking soda, flour, raisins, cinnamon
and ginger and stir well. Put in an over dish and bake 20 minutes at 180
degrees. Make icing with the icing sugar and lemon juice and brush this on
top.

and 45 minutes more at 140 degrees. Serve with warm
