Strawberry jam

 

Gooseberry jam

 

Mix 3/4 of the strawberries with the sugar, the ginger and 6 tablespoons of water, bring to the boil and simmer 40 minutes on very low heat, stir regularly. Add the remaining strawberries and simmer 10 minutes more. Put the jam in glass jars.

Add 5 tablespoons water and the sugar to the gooseberries, and bring to the boil. Cook on middle high heat for half an hour, stir regularly. Puree the jam. Put the jam in glass jars.
