Amish friendship chocolate bread

 

Ciabatta

 
  • 1 CUP AMISH FRIENDSHIP BREAD STARTER
  • 2 CUPS FLOUR
  • 1 TEASPOONS BAKING SODA
  • 3 EGGS
  • 1 TSP SALT
  • 1/2 CUP VEGETABLE OIL
  • 75 GRAM CUSTARD POWDER
  • 75 GRAM CHOCOLATE, chopped
  • 3 TBSP CACAO POWDER
  • 1/2 CUP SUGAR
 
  • 400 GRAM FLOUR
  • 1 TEASPOONS YEAST
  • 1 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
  • 2 TBSP MILK
  • 1 TBSP OLIVE OIL

Put all ingredients together and add half a cup of water, Stir well. Pour the batter into a loaf pan, and bake 1 hour at 170 degrees.

Mix 1/2 teaspoon yeast with a tablespoon of water and stir until creamy. Add 130 gram flour and 70 cc water and knead for 4 minutes. Leave this dough (sponge) for at least 12 hours at room temperature. Dissolve the rest of the yeast in the milk, stir in the rest of the ingredients and 130 cc water and knead for 10 minutes. Allow the bread to rise for one and a half hour. Form two rectangles out of the dough and dust with flour. Cover with a dampened towel and leave the breads to rise one and a half hour. Bake the ciabattas twenty minutes at 220 degrees.
