Bare bottoms in the grass

  • 200 GRAM BEANS, soaked overnight
  • 2 ONIONS, sliced
  • 1 APPLE, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 700 GRAM POTATOES, peeled and cut in pieces
  • 400 GRAM CARROTS, cubed
  • 2 SAUSAGES
  • 100 GRAM BACON, cubed

 

  • 700 GRAM POTATOES, peeled
  • 300 GRAM FRENCH BEANS, cut in small pieces
  • 300 GRAM WHITE BEANS
  • 1 SMOKED SAUSAGE, sliced
  • 1 CUP HOT MILK
  • 2 TBSP BUTTER

Fry the bacon and onions five minutes. Add the beans. Cook the beans half an hour. Add the potatoes, apple and carrots and cook half an hour more. In the meantime, fry the sausage en slice it. Put the bean mixture in a large dish and arrange the sausage slices on top.

Cook the potatoes 25 minutes and mash them with the milk, the butter and salt and pepper to taste. In the meantime, cook the beans 10 minutes. Put all ingredients in a large pan and stir well.
