Chili pies

 

Crab burger

  • 250 GRAM PUFF PASTRY, in 10X10 centimeter squares
  • 400 GRAM MINCED BEEF
  • 1 ONION, chopped
  • 2 CHILI PEPPERS, chopped
  • 2 CLOVES GARLIC, chopped
  • 1 TSP CHILI POWDER
  • 1 TBSP TOMATO PUREE
 

Stir fry the onion, garlic and chili peppers 3 minutes and add salt and pepper to taste. Add the minced beef and fry five minutes more. Add the tomato puree and the chili powder, stir well. Distribute this mixture over the puff pastry squares and fold them diagonally; close them with a little water. Bake the pies 20 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.

Mix the egg with the seasoning, the mustard, the garlic, the bread crumbs and the mustard en pepper and salt to taste. Add the crab meat and the salmon and mix well. Form 4 burgers from this mixture. Fry the burgers 6 minutes on each side. In the mean time, toast the bun halves. Spread the cocktail sauce on the buns, put the burgers on the buns and put some chutney on top.
